If RBAK can go to $200 on god know what competitive advantage, SI/DIMD can sure go to $50 by X'mas if MP3 hype catches on.

Downloading music from the internet and then having to burn it into a CD is akind to making a slide on Power Point and then not using a digital projector--enduring an extra, OUTMODED step. I was just checking PC Connection, and the Yamaha CD recorders are $500+. Imagine how much less room a flash memory device in your car's dashboard will take up than a CD player. Or a flash memory device can be installed right into your home stereo receiver eliminating the need for a CD player.

I'm gonna get me a Diamond Rio special edition as soon as I have a little extra change.

Charles, I think DIMD is probably the worst managed company in technology. I think the CEO and his CFO are absolutely abysmal(my opinion only). I think that DIMD can easily be turned around into a profitable company with the right strategic moves. I think they have destroyed the RioPort web site by not updating it and letting it go to seed. I am absolutely horrified by DIMD management, they should not have been running a hot dog cart in South Florida. I wonder if Schroeder could sell a hotdog in a g-string? He might have missed his calling.
Anyway,if Potashner can back up what he says, they are absolutely stealing DIMD. DIMD has brand recognition and retail sales channels, they have been the pioneer in not only portable MP3 music, but also Home Networking. They have a tremendous division in their communications division. I think G-Lite,and their allegiance with NT is going to produce significant dividends. I see a lot of potential, and a lot of ineptitude and no vision in DIMD management.
They have lost a lot of their talent, and are still losing it. I hear through the grapevine that a good portion of their employees are shopping around for other careers. It is sort of like SGI,when their stock tanked, everyone left. Potashner has to act and act quickly and decisively to shore up DIMD's work force. The key is execution, can SIII pull it off? Its got a good chance,I am not sure though.
These are just my opinions,I could be wrong.
