LT, You don't see many multi-year down trend lines for an Index.

Whatever, all the pros and cons, XAU sure has an fugly looking chart. However, I see some support at 56, and the eventual retest of the down trend line would be a nice move. If 56 fails, 50 here we come.

All the real turmoil in the financial markets didn't seem to help XAU last fall. It's hard to see how imagined ones would be of assistance. Maybe, a few more mining companies going under will help the situation. As you might guess, it's hard for me to see the bullish argument in the chart.

the dollar is still in an overall uptrend....

we'll see 5.00% before we see 7.00% on the long bond

and...overwhelming supply will continue to thwart any attempt at a gold rally.
