With Qcom expected to report 63 cents versus 17 cents a year ago, which is TREMENDOUS growth, does anybody expect the stock to skyrocket after earnings?

Remember, the growth you are talking about has already been factored into the stock price. In order to continue the current run-up, the Q must significantly beat those expectations.

Earnings report is just one variable in the equation for the rise in the stock price. Another factor is SP500 inclusion. I believe that index funds will buy around 9 million shares of QCOM. Since I do not have a crystal ball, I don't know where QCOM will be at the end of 1999. One thing I am betting with my money is that QCOM will be above 150 come August 20 when the Aug/150 put options expire worthless.

Best regards
