Justa,
"BTW, ASML to report earnings at 2:00 am EST on July 21st."

Will you be burning the midnight oil Tuesday night waiting for this announcement? I hear Lars and the Mary Kay gang will be holding an ASML-earnings slumber party.

Any further insight into that cryptic PR release from SVGI last week?

There were a couple enlightening articles at SemiBizNews.

Essentially, a couple of the fareastern development partners for the MicraScan III decided to walk away from their R&D investment, declining to take delivery of a machine which they had practically purchased. R&D would have been applied against the purchase price.

Sounds as if the NA on the lens is too low to ensure a suitable life cycle for this tool in their application.

Good news, if one can call it that, is that the other partners haven't walked away, and probably won't. Further SVGI will have a much better tool a year from now. Hopefully, every chipmaker won't be committed to the competition by then.

In case you can't tell, I'm becoming less enamoured with SVGI. I guess that means a breakout is imminent.

Ian.
