Thanks, KK, this is a good exchange. It is always good to have someone else question one's motives and methods. I find that when I have to explain why I made a trade that it helps me to either confirm that my methods were correct or to uncover faulty reasoning. I think most beginning traders tend to trade more on gut feel rather than the use of explicit and specific reasoning and methods. In order to be a consistently good trader and to improve one's technique I think it's important to expose all the reasoning behind the trade. Understand the what's and why's of your trade, whether successful or not. That's the only way to learn from it and to build upon success and to avoid the same mistakes.
