Oh Really. There were 15,000 troupes in Vietnam when JFK died(fact) and 500,000 by the time LBJ left office(fact)! JFK was to bring home 1,000 advisors, as they were called, for Xmas in 1963. LBJ reversed that policy. RFK was the only American Official to actually go over to Vietnam and talk with the leadership to see what could be done. It was done on his off time and on his own dime.
