Dan Rather was the first person to report to the American people what the Zapruder Film was all about. The Zapruder tape was bought by Time Life Magazine and kept in a vault for a number of years AWAY FROM THE PUBLIC. Dan Rather, upon seeing the tape, reported to the American people that JFK's head was violently driven forward from the shot from the book depository. Not exactly what most people see when they see the tape. I once saw an interview that Dan Rather did when the Editor of the Washington Post Newspaper. This man, forget his name, had been editor for nearly 30 years and claimed to have had dinner or lunch with JFK & Jackie no less than 200 times. One of the first things out of Dan Rather's mouth was Marilyn Monroe. To DAN'S surprise the Editor said he never had a clue that JFK had anything going on the side. It is interesting to compare the Time Life photo's of Oswald holding a gun. Funny how Lee Harvey has two different size bodies to match his head!
