SarkieBug,

I would stop using SI in the original beta form.

Since I'm a loyally addicted member of many years, the thought of being forced from my cyber home provokes great anxiety.

Simply because you don't understand the complaint does not make it any less real to complainer. And the complainer doesn't complain to whine, but to make better.

Caroline

hi sarkie,

re: "I don't think the majority of complainers have taken in account the countless hours that have been put into the update, by a number of people."

couple quick comments on the above...

first, to refer to people who like the original version of SI as complainers is an inaccurate portrayal. just think about that. far more appropriate to call them defenders, imo.

second, the defenders have considered "the countless hours put into the update". from their point of view, (from mine anyway) that only adds to the folly.

quite a few years back, i spent considerable money, time and energy to restore a 1965 ford falcon futura. i made that car look like it did the day it rolled off the production line. i can't tell you how many countless hours went into that automobile! but i'm reminded now of what one fellow said to me during the restoration process...

he said, "mark, when you're all done, it's still gonna be just a falcon".

:)
