Larry, Ask away. I enjoy this stuff is why I do it. The ATI card is very mainstream and I'm sure it will work on your system as long as you have a spare PCI slot. Just take into consideration what you will need for ISDN if you get it or cable or whatever. And just to make sure call Dell tech support. And make sure that you order a PCI card, not an AGP. If you are short on slots Matrox has the new G400 that will run two monitors from one slot. It's a barn-burner 3D state-of-the-art card so it's not cheap ($160). But it has the advantage that it will do dual monitors under NT if you ever wanted to go that way. It's SUPER easy to shut off the second monitor. You just disable it with a check box in display properties and then turn it off. No need to even reboot. w

Larry, once you get multiple monitors going, trust me, you will never shut the second one off. For trading, multiple monitors are a given. But even for simple tasks they are great. Surfing is great on two monitors. Open Word or Excel on one and IE on the other. I open multiple Window Explorers when doing file or system management. I think it is a great productivity tool. In fact if you are serious about this stuff, then two isn't nearly adequate. I think Palo Alto Trader has the right idea. For me I use three and sometimes four. This is the monitor that I have my eyes on, I'd like four of them. sgi.com IMHO, the ultimate monitor and with a great aspect ration for trading. Just a quick recommendation on ISDN. I would recommend an external TA (terminal adapter) and better yet this combo ISDN TA and 4 port hub. I started with an internal and because of the hassles, ended up with this and it is great. Configuration is EASIER than installing a modem. You just put a network card in you machine, plug it into the hub and go. No other software required and all machines on the network can have seamless internet access. 3com.com They can be had on Ebay quite often for around $275. Good Luck Dan
