Re: "If you don't believe it, I'm sure you are smart enough to SHORT Intel and watch the stock plummet in anticipation of Intel failing to meet that new schedule."

Even if/when Intel doesn't meet the NEW, REVISED, and UPDATED schedule, all management has to do is spin it properly and the stock will go up--just like this last quarter when Intel MISSED earnings estimates, but predicted better performance off sometime in the FUTURE.

Nope, I'm not dumb enough to short into that type of situation.

Paul, re:<Intel's mask FIX is working as per the November guidance>
The only way they would know is via the analysis of a small sample of "rocket lots." You may recall that AMD said the same thing about their CXT core fix, but it took additional time for the K6-2-400's and 450's to appear in quantity.

Promising one million shareholders and 1000's of customers full scale production results, on the basis of rocket lot results, seems to be extraordinarily risky to me.

Did they run the rocket lot results in all the fabs or just one? Did they figure out why their simulations didn't work? If the answer to any of these questions is NO, there are considerable additional risks to the November 600 MHz CuLaterMine* production schedule. (* - TM Tad La Fountaine).
