I was going to pick ASML, but Jerome turned this premier lithography company down, so I replaced it with DPMI. By the way, I was tempted to include MTSN (quite a little jewel you got there), but I knew it will be one of yours (VBG).

Ian, Lest we complicate things, probably we should leave things alone. The wisdom of the thread participants to make Cymer the best choice so far could be applied to other selections. I chose three stocks because it would require more than just one lucky guess to win the prize.

But haw about this: if the wisdom of the group was correct on the upside, could it be correct on the downside.
We could start another contest whereby a person would pick three stocks guaranteed to go nowhere between now and Aug. 13th.

This might hurt someone's feelings it their favorite stocks were mentioned, but at the same time it could be a warning that the participant should look elsewhere for capital appreciation during the contest time.

Again the stocks picked should come from the 40stocks listed by SI under the heading semi-conductor capital equipment using not the BETA format but the old one. (The beta format does not use this grouping)

If there is some interest in this we will continue.

Hopefully we are off to a good week....Jerome
