Aus,

Does anybody know if SanDisk profits from the sale of ImageMate and what the annualized earnings are??? Could they be near $15.3 million?

The ImageMate device is extremely limited as it only does CF. As an owner of pcmcia flashcards (Type I and Type II) as well as a Type III pcmcia hard drive I use an Antec Photochute3 device connected to my desktop pc. It can read Type I,II and III pcmcia devices as well as Smartmedia and CF (comes with a CF to pcmcia adapter) and does not cost too much more than the ImageMate.

All the pcmcia slots floating around out there, primarily on laptops, probably means that the ImageMate has limited appeal. Certainly more competition than the Flashpath device for Smartmedia.
