I have always given more weight to number of trades rather then volume. It seems to me that the number of trades better indicates interest, since if a 1000 people are buying 100 shares, this indicates a much stronger stock then if one person is buying 100,000 shares.

I realize that one trader could place multiple orders for shares, but I still feel that the number of trades is a better indicator then volume of shares.

Any other opinions?
