Captain Jack, I was surprised (and pleased) at that SF link you put on Techride. That takes a pair to tell the truth, especially when some of it may still be classified. The spooks will be snooping on this one. As you may have guessed by now, perhaps a Techrider served in silence too. There was one part of your post you should know about, and you may not believe me. I'm not saying this to cover for a dead guy, just to let some truth come out without me getting in trouble. I hope. Now if I have an accident for this I want our pals at "Air America" to know that the truth will come out sooner or later because as some people know, I left a key in my phony 201 file. So snoops if you read this you can KMA and du-ma-nhieu. I'm smarter than you dumb a$$ed legs, better at your own game. Dick Nixon did some illegal things but the good things he did people don't know about. While Nixon bombed the North to the peace table (1972) and had Henry playing lets make a deal with Hanoi Jane Fonda's friends. Rumor has it some of us where in places be were not to be in (as the link shows). Give me ten montangyards with crossbows and an LRP covert team and we will take out most anyone. Now these are all rumors. Rumor has it that some boys in boonie hats (no berets) went looking for POWs on Nixon's private orders. Rumor has it they dusted 200 Chinese on one mission and took out several NVA and VC camps on other missions but never found a POW. I'd have you ask the little yellow men about this but "dead men tell no tales". A few years ago we buried a guy the VC or anyone else couldn't kill. I believe he died because he had no war to fight. Perhaps you knew him, Col. Charles Beckwith, former green beret, black beret and rumored to had started Delta Force (which does not exist). Charlie took lots of secrets to the grave with him. Charlie is rumored to had asked a certain medic and others he hand picked to go look for POWs in places where the US was not to go. Charlie it is rumored asked these soldiers if they would like to kill Russians and Chinese because that is who they were likely to run into where they were going. There is no record or awards for actions that "never happened". If this did happen then the medic and these men served in silence, as Chargin' Charlie Beckwith did. So we must just go by rumors. Here is what I know in my heart but in no way do I intend to violate special information I have or my Top Secret Security Clearance or the papers I had to sign to get out of the service. I believe Nixon did more than many people will ever know. And I don't say that because I have a special pair of Wings from him. The sad rumor is that Special Forces troops, certain pilots, flight weapons officers and others of value to the North, didn't just go to POW camps in North Vietnam, Laos, etc. Some rumor has it, some went to Russia and China. That is the rumor why the POW numbers don't jive and never will. In my heart I know what Nixon did and I believe what he was rumored to be told RE: POWs (eg many dead or moved). I believe that some POWs were in Russia and China and that is why they were so hard to find. The reports that many were dead (killed), sadly I believe this is true too. These are things I know in my heart, I'm not stating them as facts, just rumors, CYA All the Way. I plan to do as the good Col. did and take unspoken facts with me one day to the grave, like good soldiers do. In 1990 or so a special ops photo showed a blonde man sitting crossed legged (Hippy style) with a group of dinks in a jungle camp in Vietnam. Dinks don't sit like that, they squat, dinks aren't blonde. What does than tell you? POW maybe? Why look? It is much better to spend money looking for a dead Kennedy, right? I'm glad you posted Captain Jack, the more people understand about what we did, the more they will understand what it was like and why it is so hard for some to come home. Psychology teaches it is hard if not impossible to get over something you can't talk about (especially if there is no record you ever did it). God bless you Captain Jack, God bless us all.
