alias, yes, some will pull earlier, but probably most will wait till later. A minority will move ahead of schedule, but most people are reluctant to make major moves like selling significant portions of their portfolios until the hour is upon them, and perhaps scary stories are circulating in the news.

All the talking heads today were crediting Microsoft with scaring the hell out of everyone yesterday and today by raising the Y2K scare. And I'll agree that I had not heard the issue raised as a fear for investors/the market in quite awhile till it was brought up yesterday in Microsofts guidance statement. I believe Lucent also issued a Y2K warning. Had nothing to do with what happened today but I sure as hell hope that Microsoft had a damn good reason based upon market research for stating that Y2K fears might slow software sales next couple of quarters rather than just trying to be cute. Hate to give the survivalists and conspiracy nuts more fodder for their rantings.
