Tench...let me get this straight, all these other companies will be making chip sets to support the Merced, ONLY Intel will be making the Merced chip itself, correct? Hope this question isn't too silly, but I'm not much of a techie....M

Can you imagine these companies designing, making and selling a slew of 32-way SMP Merced systems ?

Let's see - how much revenue would 32 Merceds bring into Intel's coffers ?
