I think there would be no choice. If holding MSFT at the time of
issuance of the tracking stock, you would just get it replaced
by some of the tracking stock and some of the core stock.

At least that's how it will work for QNTM, which I hold.
[BTW, the prospect of tracking stock issuance has helped
QNTM stock price.]
