Lycos, Inc. Set to Complete 2-For-1 Stock Split WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 19, 1999--Lycos, Inc. (NASDAQ:LCOS - news) today announced that it is set to effect its 2-for-1 common stock split. The stock split will be effected in the form of a stock dividend of one share of Lycos common stock for each share of common stock outstanding to shareholders of record on July 16, 1999. The stock dividend is payable on July 26, 1999. After the stock split, there will be approximately 90 million common shares outstanding.
