Adding another business model for Europe...

AOL Plans Free Net Service in Britain
washingtonpost.com

The old model...buy a pc and pay for ISP access
new models...
1. "Free" or discounted PCs with ISP fees
2. Buy a PC and no ISP fees.

I would guess as a consumer, you would go for number 2....buy a DELL!

On a separate note from the article...

"AOL executives say they are not too late in offering the free links in Britain, which they hope will attract new Internet customers without draining away those who now pay monthly for AOL."

I hope British consumers aren't that stupid...if I had a paid AOL account within 3 nanoseconds of the free AOL announcement I'd have an e-mail off to customer service saying given me free access or I'm history...

Best Regards,
Jim
