I didn't mean to defend it. Its just a fact of life that if Washington chooses to close its eyes on a problem, nothing in hell will happen about it. The fact is, Wall Street is the definition of state-sponsored corruption. Greenspan can wonder aloud about bubbles all he wants, but THE bubble will blow up in everyone's face. Greenspan and all the brain dead idiots in Washington will rotate into retirement. Rubin has already left the sinking ship.
