eSoft Signs Agreement with Covad Communications for Distribution of DSL Services
eSoft and Covad to Provide Business Customers with DSL Service Package For Internet Connectivity
BROOMFIELD, Colo., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- eSoft Inc. (Nasdaq: ESFT - news), the company that develops Internet access solutions for small businesses, today announced it has teamed with Covad Communications (Nasdaq: COVD - news), a leading broadband access provider that provides Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) services to business and residential customers. Together, eSoft and Covad will help companies improve business performance by providing high-speed Internet services necessary to compete in today's competitive marketplace.

Under the terms of the agreement, eSoft's value-added resellers (VARs) can sell a bundled service package that includes a TEAM Internet system and fast Internet access via DSL provided by Covad.

''With products such as TEAM Internet, small businesses are quickly learning they can exploit the Internet as a strategic business tool. In addition, broadband access services which were typically reserved for larger companies in the past, are now easily affordable with this DSL connectivity,'' said Jeff Finn, president and CEO of eSoft. ''As the cost of bandwidth goes down, more and more small business customers are looking to services such as high-speed DSL to use for Internet access.''

''We are excited to be working with eSoft,'' said Bob Grant, Covad's central region president and general manager. ''Both companies are dedicated to providing leading-edge Internet solutions to customers, which in turn will help them succeed in today's competitive marketplace. This relationship allows Covad's industry-leading DSL services to be bundled with eSoft's Internet connectivity products, creating a world class product offering targeted for the small business market.''
