We have discussed the merits of the AMZN business model at length and I understand your position, although I still have severe doubts. Based on this I am currently out of AMZN.

Ebay on the other hand is a clearer case. They have shown none of the creativity that AMZN has shown in expanding their business, have a generally poor customer service image, have regular system crashes, and its customer growth has slowed (at least for this season).

All the new auction sites offering free auctions will not necessarily drive Ebay out of business any time soon but it sure is diluting the attractiveness of its product. I still say that there is a fad factor in Ebay.

Just compare Ebay's revenues and market cap and that will tell you all you need to know. I think you should perhaps cut your losses and look for a much lower entry point if you want to hold long-term. Of course, as you know I am often wrong on these things.

Does anybody know whats wrong with the nets today... I thought we'd have an up day... all I have is red on my screen and friday wasn't too good either....
