I am not an expert but, it seems to me that, if an explosive device had been detonated, the plane and its occupants would have been blown to bits and more wreckage, and even body parts, would have been found floating on the water. Just a thought. TD

I believe it was a couple of papparazzi Cessnas chasing the plane through the dark tunnel. They made evasive maneuvers to avoid the flying Renault that was in front of them and clipped the pilons in the median. My second theory is that the Blair Witch did it.
