Yiwu, I hope they will mess with China, teach them a lesson and get the present government in Peking realize who they are - another undeveloped third world country whit a totalitarian administration who treats his citizens with cruelty. FWIK - China still practices slave labor and human organs trade.

I do not see why China should be more prominent than India for example??

On a relative basis India is more developed economically and socially than China and there are less fanatics in India than they are in China. A diminished China influence is beneficial to the world.

Taiwan should gain it's independence if they wish so. IMHO there is no lock of China on any other island. If Taiwan will fall to China it will be a sad page in human history.

it is really American's affair whether you honor your treaties or not, but it is Chinese internal affair whether we should take Taiwan back right away. As a matter of fact, now is not a bad time, IMO. If the US wants to mess up with China, be my guest! Let the history decide.
Isn't that what Saddam think when he decided to invade Kuwait?
