Whatever it is, it is sector-wide. They are all down with a few exceptions. Can't find any commentary that explains it. It's like an observation by a business columnist in the Sunday NYT who said we have ever more analysts and too little analysis.

how many weak hands can there be? the MM's have been trying to shake out the weak hands for over a month, at least since may, as i recall. with all due respect, i think that whatever the cause of the decline is, it's not weak hands being shaken out. it may be profit taking or opportunity cost selling, i.e., people who are selling this so they can buy something else which they perceive to have a greater upside potential. imho.
