Larry: An interesting idea....Castle Creek shorts above $7.5 and covers at ~$6.5. Kind'a sort'a the inverse of my playing the bouncy bouncy. But what are you thoughts on that short volume which has grown steadily, with nary a single pullback month? If'n they were doing this shorting, covering, shorting "thang", how to account for it not showing up in some sort of "ping ponging" of overall short volume?

Course, if'n your theory is right, I'd expect them to stop covering at $6.5 once/if the variable kicks in. Anyway, on a down day, even with anemic volume, VLNC appears to be nailed to that small $6.5 - $6.74 rut. In other words.....bottom?
