This event is a tragedy for the families of the victims but, just how can it be termed an American Crisis? The USCG would make a concerted effort to save anyone's life. That is what they do but, there were 361 people who were killed in small aircraft in 1998. Do you know their names? How extensive was the search and rescue mission? How much media coverage did they get? This particular tragedy has been blown all out of proportion by the media which has created a circus atmosphere. The deaths of these fine young people have no affect on the affairs of the world or this country. They are citizens who should not have died but they were not gods. And, they certainly were not royalty. Our ancestors fought a war to remove royalty from our political entity and now the jackals in the media have been trying to revive it since the tenure of JFK Sr. There never was a Camelot, either in legend or modern times.
