Mike, I wonder if anyone has combined the macro and micro lies to find out where we really are? Along with chained dollars, faked CPI numbers, SWAG productivity numbers, etc., we compound them by the fact that the numbers reported by the cos, that go into the macro calculations, are extremely low quality. We haven't had such a combination of private industry and govt. trying to scam investors since the 1920s. Usually they each try to run a scam, but the other blows the whistle.
