I do wish the media would quit trying to blame someone for this. If it's like any other tragic accident, it was caused by a combination of poor judgment and external circumstances which magnified the effect of the judgment error. I feel sympathy for the families and friends of the victims, but not the sense of loss expressed by so many. The only connection I ever had with JFK, Jr. was we were born in the same year. Being a father of young boys myself now, I do feel a twinge when I see the pictures and movies of John John with his father and, of course, the famous salute during JFK's funeral procession. From what I've read and seen, he appeared to be a decent athlete, somewhat intelligent but not exactly Einstein, and a really good person. It is always sad to see good people die in their prime.
