RF Micro Devices Supplies RFICs for Hyundai
Electronics' CDMA Handsets

GREENSBORO, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 19, 1999--RF Micro Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: RFMD - news), a leading
provider of proprietary radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for wireless communications applications, today announced
that its RFIC components are designed into several CDMA/PCS phone handsets manufactured by Korean CDMA pioneer,
Hyundai Electronics (HEI).

RF Micro Devices will supply Hyundai Electronics with CDMA handset components including low-noise amplifiers, mixers,

Hyundai Electronics manufactures CDMA handsets for the domestic Korean market and exports CDMA handsets to
Australia, North America and South America, supplying major wireless carriers such as U.S. Prime Co., Australian Telstra,
Venezuela Telcel Co. and Brazilian TeleRJ Co. Worldwide CDMA subscribers are currently at the 30 million mark and,
according to the CDMA Development Group (CDG), are expected to exceed 50 million subscribers by the end of 1999.
