Just for clarity here is what Mr. Whitman wrote. Many people feel as Fingerlakes does concerning this company. Personally I did a great deal of reserch on this company and feel the fundementals and my criteria for a bb stock has been met. It has been a disappointing experience of late so if I feel a bit excited about the resurgence, forgive my enthusiasm if it irritates some, I believe company will do well. Here is were I came up with august. Dear Marcus, I think you will be pleased to know the company is planning to make some announcements during the first week of August 1999. Due to our falling out of compliance with our 10K, coupled with the acquisitions announced not coming to a successful close, I felt it was important to keep quiet. I never want people to say that we are the type of company that Pumps and Dumps. I and my staff are working very hard remaining focused with several goals in mind. (1) To get profitable in our current operations. (2) To get current with our filings (3) Acquire companies that have synergy with us and can add value to our stock. (4) Get out of the OTC:BB arena and file for NASDAQ Small Cap as soon as possible. Keep in mind that I have a tremendous amount of my own money in this deal and I haven't taken a salary in three years. Like my shareholders, I'm anxious for the company and the stock to make money. However, I'm willing to take it as slow as it takes to protect the entire shareholder base. One mistake in a small company like ours could be very detrimental to the company. My style may be frustrating to people who want to make a fast buck, but those who want protection and a secure investment should appreciate my style. We are a high risk stock and will remain that for some time, I want to eliminate as much of the risk as possible. Thanks for writing. I'm sorry to report that Mr. Dave Salmon has taken employment with his family. I'm very proud of him and he will remain a consultant with us and we talk every day. Lori is being trained now and will be responding to your comments and questions in the future. Sincerely, John V. Whitman Jr. CEO/Chairman
