Oxymoron! "Regulatory malaise" -- A rose by any other name-- here on the Rock.

Add "rational exuberance" to a "swivel-servant sensibility" for "one-stop shopping" in the permit granting process for "cable drilling" in the west coast oil industry in Newfoundland and Labrador.

But I get carried away... so please excuse my excitement!

From your recent comments Len, you seem to imply that the permit will finally be wrestled out of the hands of the regulators and relinquished to the operators of Vulcan Minerals soon (a couple of days, maybe???). I would take from your comments that the regulators in this Province have no substantive or technical problems with the "cable drilling" approach that the operators are intending to use.

If my suppositions are correct would you think that drilling for oil on the West Coast Of Newfoundland and Labrador would likely occur in early August 1999?
