One gets around.......

And, investing is a big subject around the water cooler most places I work. Wish I got a
commission on new SI members..! :-)

I'm kind of hoping I can get Ga Bard to get back in when things start to cook. He's kind
of a skeptic, but when he T/A's a good run - he'll get in on it, and - he brings a big
following of heavyweights with him.

This is the person the hypster wants you to bet your money on?

Online Trader Gets Humbled After Ignoring His Own Rule
By JOHN R. EMSHWILLER
Staff Reporter of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

Less than a year ago, Gary Swancey was riding high on the online stock-trading wave.

Under the moniker Ga Bard (he comes from Georgia and writes poetry), Mr. Swancey
had hundreds of people following his Internet stock postings. The 46-year-old former
heating and air-conditioning contractor says he had at one point turned a $20,000 stake
into some $500,000 worth of securities. He even did a stint of investor-relations work
for a small company called Midland Inc.

These days, Mr. Swancey has largely dropped off the Internet chat circuit. He says he
has had to sell his 5,600-square-foot home, a rental property and his 1995 black
pickup truck to pay off debts and raise cash. Almost all his money is tied up in Midland,
whose shares -- which were listed on the OTC Bulletin Board, maintained by Nasdaq,
for stocks that don't qualify for Nasdaq itself -- haven't traded since they were
suspended in August by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC has
questioned Mr. Swancey and charged two former Midland officials with securities-law
violations. An SEC official declines to comment.

<snip>

Mr. Swancey was "respected" and "known all over," says Mike Nichols, a former
textile salesman from Clifton, N.J., who became such an Internet trading celebrity under
the moniker Big Dog that he has started his own online investor-relations firm.

<snip>

For him, the stock was Dallas-based Midland. Mr. Swancey says he was attracted by
the company's capital structure, which included preferred shares that were each
convertible at attractive prices into 35 shares of common.

As part of his research, he flew to Dallas to interview company officials. He started two
stock-chat Web sites about Midland that attracted thousands of messages. "I could
quote page numbers of the [company] filings with the SEC," says Mr. Swancey.

<snip>

Mr. Swancey says that while such turmoil gave him occasional pause, he kept buying
stock. According to trading records he supplied, he still holds about 10,500 Midland
preferred shares, bought at from $3 to $26 each, between late 1997 and mid-1998.

<snip>

But he offers cautious words to would-be Internet traders: "Trust no one." Anyone who
wants to trade online, he adds, needs the right tools, knowledge and discipline. "It is a
vicious, vicious arena," he says.

This is too funny.

Since a lot of you LGOV longs think a lot of "Dusty", why dont you ask her what she thinks of Ga Bard.

GaBard, Whoa, just a minute. You are twisting your facts again as usual.

As far as resources Dusty has yet to prove one source of resources
but then again you have not followed her posts where she was one
of the biggest cheerleaders on this thread back then. ALso she had
contacts in Dallas that she claimed did a full DD on this stock and
she was telling everyone to BUY it "Going to the moon" just like
she has LGOV.

There was a time when I did believe in the stock. But, when I found out the REAL
TRUTH about the company and it's insiders;some of which are under investigation for
FRAUD, I changed my opinion and have said so. However, NEVER have I EVER told
anyone ANY STOCK was going to the moon or anywhere else. NEVER did I say, I
knew anyone in Dallas who did DD on this<MIDL> stock. Those statements, like
others you have made, are lies.

You say I am in Fishers camp because I did not take part in publicly debasing him as
several others on this thread did. I talked to him one time and if I had what he told me in
inked to paper I would post it.

Do I think Fisher is without blame? Heck no, he is a con artist, IMO, but it appears he
was not the only one who is less than honest.

You have absolutely no creditability IMHO. There is documented proof that you do not
always tell the gospel truth. Anyone wanting to can easily establish that for themselves. I
would not follow you down the street let alone believe anything you post.

While I have questioned you and stated my opinion concerning your actions; I have
NEVER debased or degraded you by calling you
names; saying you were duped or dumb. You, however, have treated im in a sub human
fashion. Your posts to others with whom you disagree, shows your true nature and
character; or lack thereof.

Do I have all the answers, no and never said I did. But, you can bet your sweet hinney I
am seeking.

I will promise you one thing;if I ever find out I am wrong I will make a public apology to
you on the thread. So far my research does not indicate that will happen anytime soon.

You can make an fool out of yourself if you want but get your facts straight... So far you
have not managed to do so.

You can save your time posting to me as I have read all of your crap I care to read. If
you ever find yourself capable of debating the issues in an intelligent and rational manner,
I might have more respect for you.

Regards,

Dusty

Dusty for 9 months you have accused me of everything ... You are such a LAIR. And
YOU are the most DUPED emotional woman I have ever had the displeasure to talk to
...

You have a nice day and remember SI is a permanent record and easy to access. But I
am a man and for those who do not like me tagging I will let Anna post the truth and lets
see you deny you own posts ...

Have a great DUPED evening
