UNITEC SHIPS SCADA SYSTEM TO INDONESIA

Unitec is pleased to announce resumption of its business in Indonesia, with the shipment of a Flood Control SCADA System for Citirum in Central Java. This system, valued in the low six figures, is the fifth Flood Control SCADA System that the Company has shipped to the Indonesian Water Resources Ministry.

The hardware and software were developed and manufactured in the Company's Burnaby plant; however, customer and staff training on the system was provided in the Company's new Regina operations (http://www.unitec.ca/co_events.html).

Unitec is low bidder on a further US$2.5M in tenders for the Indonesian Water Resource Ministry and is bidding on a US$2M in additional projects in that country. Unitec, its agent PT Findomuda, and the Indonesian government owned corporation PT Mega Eltra, have formed a strategic alliance to increase the Company's SCADA system sales to Indonesia.

Unitec is an emerging growth company specializing in advanced technology telemetry, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and environmental monitoring equipment for the water, electricity, oil & gas and transportation sectors. It operates engineering and manufacturing facilities in Burnaby, B.C. and Regina, Saskatchewan and distributes its products and services through an expanding network of independent agencies in North and South America, the Caribbean, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

On Behalf of the Board of Directors,

John B. Smyth,
President and Director
