I believe what some of us find ironic is that you equate the two. K7 has had one OEM announcement associated with it, (Kryo- whatever), and Merced is an industry initiative with several large infrastructure companies supporting it even in emulation phase.

No, it is not here yet, and it was delayed. But that doesn't seem to have had a meaningful effect on its support by the industry when it does get here.

I'm sure K7 will eventually come out with some customers. But in this respect the K7 seems to be behind Merced, as it seems to have customers publicly getting ready for it now.
