How fast were those unsold chips? You'd think that if AMD were able to yield every K6-2 at 400 MHz and above, they wouldn't have this inventory to begin with?

What I was referring to was not this quarter but about a year ago when Jerry repeatedly said the yield problems had been fixed only to admit at the earnings announcement that yield problems still plagued them.

The excess inventory this last quarter was probably due to binsplit problems. If AMD could reliably predict their speeds, they wouldn't have packaged those excess die. IMHO.
