Since there is a performance hit in using MTH, I dont think this would be an attractive solution, although I could see Intel doing it, simply to avoid hassle with anti-trust.

I would expect such a solution to be slower than a BX or ZX system with PC100 memory.

Jdaasoc,
Would it be possible to alter MTH chip to support PC133?

I imagine that it would be possible. Depending on the extent to which the timing of the interface is configurable it might be trivial, but I don't know.

An interesting thought. Suppose a system uses two RAMBUS channels, each with an MTH chip and PC100 or PC133 memory then it might be very fast. However, I doubt this will happen and even if it does, RAMBUS still get royalties.
