Wow...

Haven't seen a spike pattern like this for a while. In a normal stock it would signify a trend reversal, but hey...this is 3dfx.

timbur - re: TDFX sales to arcade manufacturers - I'm still on vacation, and you just gave me some things to browse for on these sultry evenings: info on the boards the VA mfrs' use (I note the Atari/Hasbro website mentions 3dfx in connection with several VA games), how many units are out there, etc., but I think if it were a "material" amount of business (5%plus?), 3dfx and its competitors would be noting it in formal filings. Think I'll look at some. In my stumblings this evenings, I found an interesting site for video arcade info (including mfrs of video arcade games going back to the 1970s - remember Q*Bert by e-glide in 1982, a D. Gottleib & Co. production): coinop.clickit.com

The "F" company who is 3dfx's 3rd lgst chipset customer? I dunno. Looks like Edgar's on my sultry list, too.

Regards,
Harry

timbur: 100% PC boards

I think 3dfx sells the _chipset_ that goes in the arcade machine, just not the board. Maybe Quantum3D makes the board? Or maybe there is no "board" in the usual sense.
