Well said. The nature of being online is going to cause you to experience down times now and then. You have to build a margin of safety into your thinking to cope with this. The down times won't always be the result of your broker. Overall Datek has better service than most suppliers out there. Their price is better, execution is normally very fast, and as pooh has pointed out your trades often get the best price. I have had numbers of limit executions come back price improved. There are other features about their system that I believe more than pay for the few times a year they are slow. KK
