in addition, even IF it did improve performance, it very well c/b much less than 1% of the whole experience. is that worth 10-20% in extra cost? the market is saying no.

Hi Joe,

no doubt about it, if I am just using Winword or similar, I could still be happy with a 486 running on Windows 3.1
RMBS only comes into its own in high speed graphic applications

So? For web browsing and e-mailing, PC133 SDRAM will not have any performance benefits either, nor will DDR SDRAM. So what's your point?
