i hope the problem is NVLS specific and not the industry's. Maybe its that U shaped recovery that's popping back up. Guess investors were hoping for a more rapid V shape recovery. The back end ATE has been seeing good numbers though.

turnaround taking place, you would think NVLS would have beaten estimates. I wonder how much share
they have ceded to AMAT. Will be an interesting CC to say the least.


Morgan has been like a broken record lately with the 'AMAT gaining market share' mantra on TV recently, and as far back as at the shareholders' meeting in late March. Of course, it's a pleasant broken record sound in this case.

Applied is kicking Novellus' butt in their traditional markets, with the Producer for standard dielectric films, and has taken over market leadership in HDP CVD for certain advanc ed dielectric films. Meanwhile, Novellus has thrown most of their resources into copper, where there is a miniscule market presently.
