Darbes, yes I see that. Right from the lips of Paul Otellini. The guy who said that the fact that people would take a free PC as proof that the P-III--w/snoop CPU ID was accepted by the public!
As far a Intel having to de-emphasize speed...well we'll see just how much "Intel Inside" really means now won't we? <G>
Fact is that most people buy a much faster computer than they really need because they don't know any better. Intel has fed on this for years...now they will have to turn coat? Hummm...
Should be fun watching Intel Pee-III in their pants.
