************************ Featured IPO Profile *********************

Our Featured IPO today is MP3.com, Inc. Named for a data-compression
format that allows users to easily download music from the Web, this
company offers more than 100,000 free songs from mostly lesser-known
artists on its site. MP3.com does not own this file format and makes its
money from advertising and selling compilation CDs. The offering is
valued at $209.1 million, which is not too bad considering CEO Michael
Robertson and his partner picked up the MP3.com address for a cool
$1,000 from a guy who registered the domain because it included his
initials.
