I called OSFT investor relations today...

First I called the company, and a woman answered the phone, and said "hello". Not "thank you for calling OSFT". She did seem pretty darn happy, so interpret that as you wish.

Then I called the IR number she gave me. Tried to play dumb and get some info out of the guy. Nothing concrete, but reading between the lines made me feel news IS coming. The guy did say that they are getting orders left and right from Blockbuster franchisees. Orders are coming in from 'zees who didn't even test the product, just said "ship it". He also said their projection was to sell 400 of these kiosks by year end. He said they should easily sell double, triple, or greater than that number easily.

Hope this helps a little.

Jason

Good Question, SilverBeemer. . .yes. . .there is manipulation on OSFT. . . but there is a bit more.

First, there is the rumor of news Mon/Tues. . .now was that rumor Monday AND Tuesday or was it 'OR'?

Second, there are the OTHER rumors, including McDonalds and the NYC Transit. . . .I have no opinion on these.

Third, Blockbuster will IPO this week. . .and OSFT has already delivered a sample order of kiosks for the chain. What better time to release news of a nationwide blowout than the day OF the Blockbuster IPO? I don't know if they have been granted that, but of course that is why they did the sample order.

Fourth, some people think this makes a good long-termer. I am more inclined to like it long-term SINCE last weeks appointment. . .in hopes that they do an internet phone booth sort of thing.

I reduced my position today on weaker volume. If there is no news in the AM, I may reduce more. . . .and may jump back in at a low just before the IPO is official.

Can't tell you if your position is OK or not, but that should help in the decision making process. . . .
