I'd like to add "Climbing that Wall of Worry."

To bdog: Chuckle. The swing from euphoria early this morning (when none of this positive news was availabe) to depression (when it is), shows the backdrop to how "efficient markets function" - that is not at all. Emotion triumphs again - in the short run.

Just consider one reality. The real indicator which combines all the factors at play is pro forma earnings. This is the base for going forward. So what happened? The June quarter's pro forma earnings are 86 cents compared to the March quarter's 60 cents - a sequential increase of 43%. And March was considered a blowout quarter. So what is this quarter? Chaz

PS This earnings increase is in the face of the horrifying "parts shortage" for phones so production was artificially restrained below demand. Better jump out the nearest window. The poor old Q can't even meet the markets' demand for its phones - i.e. it is production constrained not demand constrained. How many other companies would like to have that problem, hmmm?

PPS Never thought the day would come that some on this thread have their heads down in sorrow while the press reports are upbeat. What a wonderful world - continues to amaze.

PPPS Suggest a good nights sleep.
