Re: Q2 CC (last 30 minutes)

"Only am half through and zoning out. Too many CCs today. If anyone else can post the last 30 minute highlights, it would be appreciated."

Thread,
Well I guess no one wanted to share my pain of listening to the full 1 hour 5 minute CC <VBG>. So I went ahead and listened. As usual, the execs used about three times as many words to answer questions as was really needed. It was painful to listen to the entire CC.

But I do have to say, I was shocked that out of 8 or so analysts, at least 5 of them really knew what CTXS was about. This CC's Q&A was opposite of Q1's CC. Q1 was such a joke because no analyst knew what the hell CTXS even did. So finally, we are getting analyst that are doing their homework. It's too bad most knowledgeable analysts didn't represent the big brokers.

One thing I did pick up, was that our Java/HTML discussions, regarding it as competition for CTXS, apparently hit the nail on the head (see lot's of upstream posts for details).

An analyst asked CTXS to explain the MSFT relationship comments again, and I was TOTALLY lost with the answer. I never heard the question answered, but about 5 minutes was spent on that particular question. I think he basically said....well I can't even paraphrase it.

A question was asked regarding the Viewsoft acquisition and a CTXS executive insulted the questioner by implying his questions were answered in a previous press release and he should already know the answer. At that I busted out laughing because very few questions are ever answered in a CTXS press release.

Anyhow the CTXS executive reiterated clearly <VBG!> that, "Viewsoft is designed around MSFT's Visual Cafe and DNA. Then CTXS seeks to add functionality in the EJB world."... Can any software professional, following this thread, PLEASE translate this bit of goobly gook?
