Chaz:

Great decisions like the ones you made aren't always liked by the boss, but you are here to post today aren't you.

Good luck,

Re: Inexperienced pilot; you can add irresponsible as well.

If the outcome had been different and he crashed the plane with no loss of life I doubt if the insurance would cover the loss of the aircraft. He basically was flying without the proper license for the time of day and conditions. Exactly four days earlier JFK flew that plane to Toronto with his foot in a cast however he had the good sense to take a flight instructor with him. Do we presume that in that short space of time his foot healed sufficiently; his flying skills improved enough to allow him to take his own wife and her sister on an excursion in conditions that other, more responsible, pilots balked at? His wife may have has no visible concerns about flying with him but I can only surmise that her sister must have been suitably nervous. The younger Kennedys strike me as people who like to take risks, stupid risks..if there is a curse it lies in this fact.
