Harlock, It certainly did occur to me to start elaborating on the potential for delivering telepresence capabilities, but I had already covered quite a bit of uncharted territory, and didn't want to stretch my welcome. For some areas of interest in the telepresence space, however, you might want to go to the following url and visit the various links which were neatly assembled during a discussion on the Gilder thread by Joe Wagner. Message 9265225 While these are all very interesting, they don't all necessarily consume a lot of bandwidth. Get a little closer to hi-res 3D and live, full-motion, interactive, holograhic presentation, and then you can start to talk about spending some multiple of gigabits/sec. That's no jokin'.
