blankmind---per my calculations our P/E after todays earnings is 69 ---really low for a company that is growing at 40 % annum . I agree with tech 2000 that the analyst's meeting on Thursday will be use to introduce the new tracking stock and to revise earnings estimates up for the year 2000 . If an honest view was taken instead of this cat and mouse game MSFT would have projected earnings of 2.00 for the next four qtrs . Just my thoughts

BEST WISHES
BILL

blackmind, I quite agree. Whenever I look at buying the other big tech stocks I always come to the conclusion that MSFT is undervalued (relative to the others). MSFT is the finest large cap tech stock by a long shot.
