Absolutely right, Vman. Several quarters ago at the CC the analysts were full of congratulatory sentiments... well, I just heard the RealAudio transcription of today's CC (thanks, Jon) and you could tell by the sound of their voices how very impressed they were. Tomorrow's going to be good. Of course, that was the plan, right?

Now if only LOR could have a quarter like this... (sigh)

Valueman, Investors are short sighted, as I am sure you are aware. The Q has run far, it's time for a little selling on the fact, the component shortage gives those shorted sighted investors a reason to sell, and they well, in the AM. Anyone that knows better and has cash to invest and wants to buy QCOM will get the opportunity to do so Tuesday in the AM. I feel those who really understand the numbers and the current market place, and the bright future 3G is going to bring to the Q, will use this market gift to add. We will get up grades Tuesday, you can bet on it, lets hope they wait till at least 10:00 so they can drive the stock down, so those of us that want to add, can do so. So please stop being so positive will you. <ggg>

Greg

AS usual you make a good case. The market will likely pump up the volume. I'm really hoping that we'll see no more of these recurring "one-time" charges.

Only fly in the ointment is that sequential rev growth is relatively anemic. Good thing S&P funds are going to shower us with cash because Q is going need it to ramp production. In the dark old days exploding revs provided great comfort because as we've now seen, with that kind of rev growth it's not so difficult to pull big EPS gains out of your hat. At this point I think it's fair to say that we've seen a good chunk of the likely margin expansion. Improvements from here on will likely be incremental in comparison.

Handset production was apparently just shy of 600,000/month. Wasn't capacity at 650k/mo last year already?
